JD Daojia, a major Chinese online-to-offline platform that connects online demands with offline merchants, set a new record for daily peak orders, with total sales three times higher than last year's Singles Day online shopping gala.

According to JD Daojia, one of its leading partners Walmart jumped fourfold compared to the same period last year, and Yonghui supermarket saw its orders double.

JD Daojia has collaborated with more than 100,000 physical stores to provide consumers with high-quality goods and efficient delivery services online and offline simultaneously.

During the Singles Day shopping spree, sales of general merchandise were five times higher than the same period last year, pharmaceutical and health products reached two and a half times their previous level and bakery products tripled.

A large number of beauty and makeup stores also joined hands with JD Daojia this year, and sales for that sector rose five and a half times year-on-year, accounting for the highest sales growth in all categories.

"We have collaborated with more than 100,000 stores to provide consumers located in 63 cities with high-quality shopping experiences and one-hour professional delivery service at the 'Double 11' weekend," said Philip Kuai, founder and CEO of Dada-JD Daojia.

Kuai added JD Daojia will adopt in-depth empowerment, channel expansion and commodity development as core strategies to promote the integration of online and offline in the retail area and push forward the acceleration of one-hour O2O development.

Dada-JD Daojia is China's leading on-demand logistics and O2O e-commerce platform. Dada covers more than 450 cities across China. It serves over 1.2 million merchants and 50 million individual users, with 10 million peak daily orders.
