In October 2012, with the approval of the State Council, nine areas such as Hangkong North Area and South Area of Shunyi District came together to form Shunyi Park. It has a planned area of 12.08 square kilometers, including six bases. 

Today it has become a new dominant industrial cluster of next generation Internet, mobile Internet and new generation mobile communications, satellite applications, biology and health, energy conservation and environmental protection and orbital transportation, as well as a cluster of potential industries like integrated circuits, new materials, new energy vehicles, high-end equipment and general aviation. High-end industries such as aerospace, high-end equipment manufacturing, R & D services, and information services are also under active development in the park.

At present, Shunyi Park is speeding up the construction of innovative carriers including a space industry park, a third generation semiconductor base and a "car and home" new energy intelligent car headquarters base, gathering more than 360 high-tech enterprises. They include Yanjing beer, Shumavision, Shengxiang aviation, BAIC Group, Oriental Yuhong and E&E Technologies. 

Preliminary statistics show that the total income of Shunyi Park enterprises in 2018 was 128.05 billion yuan, and its total profit was 14.55 billion yuan. Next, Shunyi Park will focus on the development of new energy smart automobiles, aerospace and other industries, and actively foster the third generation of semiconductor materials.
