Top 5 companies with most PC shipments in Q2
HP Inc overtook Lenovo for the top spot on the list of the top 5 companies with the most worldwide traditional PC shipments in Q2, according to global market consultancy IDC.
The strong demand driven by work-from-home, as well as e-learning needs, has surpassed previous expectations and has once again put the PC at the center of consumers' tech portfolio, said Jitesh Ubrani, research manager for IDC's Mobile Device Trackers.
Global shipments of PCs, including desktops, notebooks and workstations, increased 11.2 percent year-on-year, reaching a total of 72.3 million units in the second of quarter of 2020.
