The Zhongguancun Technology Trade Fair, created by the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee, has opened as part of the 2020 Zhongguancun Forum, which took place in September.

More than 7,000 outstanding technical achievements- as well as over 600 technical requirements- are open for global transactions both online and offline.

Good technology and related products are often the key targets of investors and investment institutions. 59 foreign projects and more than 200 domestic projects have been launched for the first time from the technology transactions of Zhongguancun Forum.

But how do these projects perform on the market?

Beijing Matrix Tech Co participated in the Zhongguancun Forum for the first time this year. At the technology trade fair, the ultra-performance materials they developed received an enthusiastic response from the media and the public. 

The material has been applied in the clothing field for the first time, reducing the thickness of winter clothing by 80% and increasing its warmth retention effect by five times.

Speaking of gains from participating in the Zhongguancun Forum, Zhong Feipeng, CTO of Beijing Matrix Tech Co, said: “After the Zhongguancun Forum, our company's customer service telephones rang frequently, many clients were inquiring about prices, consulting the product usage and trying out products... in less than a month, we received 105 overseas orders."

Beijing Targeting One Biotechnology Co has been ranked first on the Top 10 list of the 2020 Zhongguancun International Frontier Science and Technology Innovation Competition Virus Detection Technology Special Finals with its accurate and quantitative PCR-based nucleic acid detection products for COVID-19.

Yang Wenjun, operations vice president of Beijing Targeting One Biotechnology Co, said," After the forum, Xinyi Bio has reached financing intention agreements worth hundreds of millions of yuan with several leading domestic investment institutions."

The first China Good Demand launch event was held on Sept 16, as a crucial part of the  Zhongguancun Forum technology transaction warm-up activities.

The second China Good Demand press conference was held on Sept 29 at Zhongguancun No. One. 

A total of 12 China Good Demand projects, including "Application of Intelligent Technology in Waterproof Machinery and Equipment" and "Technical Issues of the Separation of Base Oil and Impurities of Kitchen Waste", collected by the ZGC Tianhe Technology Transfer Center from Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, were released at the meeting.

Hebei Misabel Food Co is an enterprise specializing in food production and processing. At the  China Good Demand press conference, Liu Shijin, chairman of Misabel Group, announced the company's requirement for "R&D into the usage of potato and whole grain in baked food". 

After the demand was released, the company received a letter of intent for cooperation from the Institute of Food Science and Technology of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the COFCO Nutrition and Health Research Institute. Following negotiation, a cooperation framework agreement has been signed.

Zhongguancun Tianhe Technology Transfer Center has explored 3,865 regional industrial common needs and individual corporate needs across the country. Among them, over 600 technical requirements have been unveiled on the Zhongguancun Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Platform. 

To date, Zhongguancun has issued 24 China good demands, 11 of which have received cooperation intentions from scientific research institutions.

At the 2020 Zhongguancun Forum technology trade fair, the first industry-leading innovation technology top 100 list was released. 14 of the list's representative projects will be presented at the fair.

The "BARRIFLOW air purification and isolation protection integrated machine" project, brought by Japan's ORIX Group, can not only improve air quality in hospitals, but can also reduce the infection risk of medical practitioners during diagnosis and treatment.

BARRIFLOW equipment appeared at the Zhongguancun Technology Trade Fair, attracting the attention of many institutions such as Anzhen Hospital, Beijing Health Promotion Association, and Beijing Jingcheng Pharmaceutical Technology Co.

The "Filterless air purification system based on APA technology" project from Italy is another one of the top 100 projects. The project reached an intention to cooperate agreement with Beijing Fansi Decoration Century Center.

In addition, more than 20 projects on the top 100 list, including "High-efficiency and low-cost new hydrogen production technology from water electrolysis" from the United States, have found partners.

Zhongguancun's comprehensive service platform for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and technology transactions was launched on Aug 18. 

Based in Zhongguancun, the platform aims to have an international scope, integrating the global supply chain, industrial chain and technology trade resources.

The platform is online 24 hours a day, making it a robust support for the Zhongguancun technology trade fair.

Beijing Zhongkepujin Special Material Technology Development Co, together with the Institute of Metals of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Co, completed the signing of a contract. 

The contract value of their antibacterial stainless steel project reached 120 million yuan, and was the first order since the opening of the Zhongguancun Technology Trade Fair. 

At Sinoscience Fullcryo Technology Co, staff are working tirelessly to step up system design, procurement and manufacturing of key components. 

Prior to this, the company has signed a transaction order of 15 million yuan at the Zhongguancun Technology Trade Fair.
