Zhongguancun launches 'Strong Chain Project' for high-tech industries
The Zhongguancun Administrative Committee held a press conference on the "Strong Chain Project" on Dec 28 to announce the first batch of 10 technical requirements of high-tech industries.
Affected by the international situation and the COVID-19 pandemic, the "lack of chain" and "weak chain" problems in some industrial chains have become prominent.
"We have been engaged in the research and development of medical robots for a decade. Orthopedic robots developed by us have been applied in hundreds of hospitals across the country, but some of the key components depend on imports. It's just like a 'Sword of Damocles' hanging above our heads. When will it fall?" said Zhang Songgen, chairman of TINAVI.
On the list of technical requirements released, the criteria for multi-degree-of-freedom force-controlled medical robotic arms were established by the orthopedic robot company Tian Zhihang.
The "Strong Chain Project" mainly centers on high-tech industries such as artificial intelligence, integrated circuits, innovative drugs, medical devices and intelligent manufacturing that will be developed in the Zhongguancun Demonstration Zone during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period.
After being proposed by leading enterprises in Zhongguancun and investigated by industry experts, weak links and core technologies with a low degree of self-controllability that need to be strengthened are shared across the country to solicit solutions.
The first batch of more than 20 companies submitted more than 60 technical demand projects involving new-generation information technology and biomedicine.
Companies with technical requirements and institutions that specialize in specific technical fields will jointly conduct technological research and development after reaching cooperation intention, overcoming common technical problems.
The former will promise to purchase the latter's technology products and incorporate the newly-developed technology products into the supply chain.
The Zhongguancun Administrative Committee will set up special work classes and expert committees to track the progress of service projects and provide financial support and resource connection services.
The project supports leading companies to form 30 innovation consortia, systematically solving several fundamental technical problems related to weak links in the industrial supply chain, and creating three to five industrial clusters.
Among the first 10 technical requirements disclosed this time are four items in the field of new-generation information technology: memory layout-oriented browsing, editing and IP integration tools, IP camera encryption authorization chip solutions, Micro LED display control integrated circuits, and simulation system software of general industrial production process.
The other six projects come from the field of biomedicine, including high-performance medical turbines, multi-degree-of-freedom force-controlled medical robotic arms, medical platinum-chromium alloy tubes, CT slip rings, as well as chromatography packing for biopharmaceutical production, disposable bioreactor lining bags and intermediate storage bags.
