The Research and Industrialization Center of the China Urban Rail Transit Operation Control System was recently completed.

The total construction area of the project is 55,000 square meters. The high-tech rail transit research and industrialization center, with its core technology and high added value, is driving the rapid development of rail transit in China.

A number of rail transit enterprises have successively settled in Zhongguancun's Fengtai Park.

Fengtai Park has given full play to its geographical advantages in recent years in order to promote the development of the rail transit industry.

Rail transit is the largest industry in Fengtai Park. According to the Park's manager, it forms two 100-billion-yuan industrial clusters in Fengtai Park, together with the aerospace industry.

Fengtai Park benefits from a large-scale rail transit industry, a complete industrial chain, and strong innovation capabilities.

It has nearly 150 key rail transit companies, including world-renowned companies like China Railway, CRSC, and CRHIC, and other private companies including Traffic Control Technology.

These enterprises now have a total income of nearly 200 billion yuan ($30.98 billion). The total income of the rail transit industry clusters has exceeded 100 billion yuan for five consecutive years, with an average increase of 12 percent.

According to the "Action Plan for the Innovation and Development of the Rail Transit Industry in Zhongguancun Fengtai Park (2020-2022)", which was released in 2020, Fengtai district is striving to achieve over 300 billion yuan in revenue from its rail transit industry by 2022.

The vast resources have promoted a gathering of the rail transit industry. For example, the Beijing Collaborative Innovation Rail Transit Research Institute has been unveiled; the subway operating company established a technological innovation research institute in the park, positioning it as a conduit for the application of scientific and technological innovation achievements and the development of the rail transit industry.

On Dec 24, 2020, at the publicity meeting and project signing ceremony for the construction of a comprehensive demonstration zone aimed at the expansion of the national service industry in Fengtai District, the KPM (Beijing) Rail Transit Research Institute also signed a contract with the Fengtai Park Administrative Committee.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) period, Fengtai Park will continue to strengthen industrial clustering, improve the industrial ecosystem, improve its standing in the fields of rail transit and aerospace, enhance the technological innovation capabilities of key industries, strengthen key technological research, and strive to build a globally competitive industrial cluster.
