Lingzhixin, located along Innoway Steet, is a start-up company that was established less than four months ago. The firm researches cutting-edge computing chips and software and hardware systems, so that data privacy, security and data value development can all be realized.

Zhang Yiyi, who returned from the United States to join the team, said that understanding the algorithm bottleneck and fusing the frontier theories from home and abroad are her most important tasks at this stage.

"The office environment is simple, but we all have a very high enthusiasm for our work," said the team leader, Ran Yang, who added that the team is excited that this field is developing faster than they expected.

Ran noted that Lingzhixin has signed contracts with more than 20 companies to use its hard technology products. "I hope that our team's technologies can become a new type of infrastructure for the 'Data Value Internet' in the new year," said Ran.

Walking along Innoway Steet, you may encounter another new firm.

The floor tiles in Guangzhikeji Co's laboratory are nothing special at first glance, but you will quickly realize that they emit heat after stepping on them.

The heating tiles are made with a metal oxide semiconductor material developed by the team, a new-generation semiconductor heating material with high-efficiency electrothermal conversion performance. The new material's inclusion in the ground tiles helps ensure the product can replace complicated traditional heating systems.

"I just want to use new material technology to improve the heating systems in buildings," said Yang Min, deputy general manager of Guangzhikeji Co, who added that this is the original reason the company was founded.

In the laboratory, researchers are producing the new heating materials in small batches. According to researcher Wang Peng, the thickness of the new material is one-thousandth of a single hair, but its electrothermal conversion rate is as high as 99.45 percent.

The team has achieved breakthrough results in several fields of new energy and new materials and has applied for 58 international and domestic patents.

Guangzhikeji will have three production lines to put into operation. The company will soon put a production line with an annual production capacity of three million square meters into operation, Yang noted.

Since its opening, Innoway has served more than 50,000 enterprises in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and formed more than 5,000 service cases.

"We're committed to helping technology enterprises avoid detours," said Shen Zhaoxuan, a staff member of the Innoway Service Center.

The State Intellectual Property Office authorizes the Zhongguancun Intellectual Property Protection Center to build a "bridge" for communication between the government and enterprises. It is responsible for patent pre-examination of high-tech enterprises in fields such as new materials. 

"Patent projects that could only complete the review process in two to three years in the past can now be realized in three to six months," Shen added.
