"Jiuzhou Mass Innovation Park helps us connect cross-border e-commerce and pharmaceutical supply chains so that our business continues to expand. Also, new models such as pharmaceutical e-commerce B2C, telemedicine and health management service centers have been developed," said a staff member of Beijing Haoyaoshi Pharmaceutical E-commerce.

He then mentioned that their sales have leaped from tens of millions to 1.5 billion yuan ($230.4 million) and that he believes sales revenue in 2021 will reach a new high.

Haoyaoshi is just one of many companies that have settled in the Jiuzhou Mass Innovation Park. Currently, the park has cultivated 25 national high-tech enterprises and 17 Zhongguancun high-tech enterprises. It has also tutored five listed companies and has nearly 500 intellectual property rights.

The park occupies an area of 35,000 square meters. It provides rent-free office and communication space for entrepreneurs, attracting many upstream and downstream start-ups in the pharmaceutical and health industry chain to settle.

"From specialized office space to talent introduction; from pharmaceutical innovation research and development to pilot-scale maturation, inspection and testing; from achievement transformation platforms to market sales and supply chain circulation; from the integration of internationalized and industrial chain resources to financing connection and intellectual property rights, we provide services for incubating the whole life cycle of digital healthcare," noted Deng Huiyan, the park’s general manager.

The park has set up a seed incubation fund of 150 million yuan. It has provided supply chain financial services to upstream and downstream customers with China Merchants Bank, Ping An Bank and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. The settled enterprises have obtained financing of more than 120 million yuan.

Also, the park held the "Jiuzhou Mass Innovation Platform Resource Linking Conference" focusing on Beijing and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, to contact mentors of business schools and professional organization resources to interpret new medical reform policies and provide solutions.

It has also offered counseling activities on applying big data cloud computing technology in smart medical care and opened copyright courses of the DDI series, a world-renowned consulting agency. The goal was to help companies do an excellent job in talent training and business management at the initial stage.

Ten professional service platforms have been built in the park, including the pharmaceutical R&D and production platform, the modern pharmaceutical supply chain service platform, the digital + medical industry platform, the investment and financing service platform, the management consulting platform, and the international cooperation platform.

The pharmaceutical healthcare industry's vertical incubation path has been established in the park, making it a characteristic park of the Zhongguancun pharmaceutical and health industry.

Presently, the Zhongguancun Science Park has more than 200 parks of various types, and many representative industrial parks have been formed.
