The 2021 National Science and Technology Week, known locally as Beijing Science and Technology Week, will be held from May 22 to 28. 

The main venue will be located at the exhibition center of the National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone in Zhongguancun. 

The event will offer a feast of science and technology enabling the public to understand, experience and perceive the scientific world.

The science week will open an online reservation platform. The public can visit with an appointment verification code or paper ticket, or log onto the virtual exhibition hall to learn more about the highlights of the event without leaving home.

The exhibition area is about 5,000 square meters, 1,000 for indoor exhibitions and 4,000 for outdoor interactive areas. 

The indoor exhibition is divided into three stages according to the history of Beijing's sci-tech development.

The outdoor interactive area will showcase how science and technology benefits the general public in an active form.

As a brand of mass scientific and technological activities, Beijing Science and Technology Week has arranged branch venues and major demonstration activities. 

For the first time, a sci-fi branch will be set up, and a creative exhibition combining science and art will be launched in Shougang Park in Shijingshan district, with "Fictional Worlds" as the main line.

Beijing Science and Technology Week has been held 26 times since 1995, and has become the brand of mass science and technology activities with the richest content, highest public participation and greatest social influence.
