Baidu Wenyiwen, an online real-time question-and-answer platform of Chinese tech giant Baidu Inc, signed a strategic partnership with Jingsh Law Firm on Tuesday, and the partners will carry out comprehensive cooperation in professional and authoritative legal consulting services.
Users can gain access to one-to-one legal consulting services from lawyers at Jingsh Law Firm through Baidu Wenyiwen, which will also help lawyers create diversified revenue channels by leveraging Baidu's advanced artificial intelligence-powered technology, intelligent algorithm and big data.
Founded in 1994 in Beijing, the Jingsh Law Firm is one of the largest law firms in China, employing over 5,000 practicing lawyers.
Ping Xiaoli, Baidu vice-president and general manager of Baidu App, said the move will open up new cooperation models for internet platforms and offline law firms, with an aim to enhance the public's awareness and knowledge with respect to law.
In December, the monthly active users of Baidu App reached 622 million, up 14 percent year-on-year.
